SUMMARY:

Patients with facial deformities are susceptible to changes in inadequate positioning of the facial bone structure, thus causing significant aesthetic and functional changes. For a long time, there was no concern about the changes that anteroposterior movements in orthognathic surgery caused in the airways. With the beginning of virtual planning, these changes could be better evaluated, bringing us greater security and reliability in planned movements in CO. A retrospective study will be conducted to analyze the correlation between the airways of patients undergoing orthognathic surgery, through pre-established craniometric points measurements and occlusal plane rotation. This study will include patients undergoing orthognathic surgery from 2016 to 2020, coming from the Bucco-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Traumatology Service of UFRN, Private and Getúlio Vargas Hospital (Recife-PE), with planning performed by the method following the established protocol of pre and post surgical tomography.
