Although endodontics has evolved considerably, both in the scientific field and in the development of new techniques and materials, there are still cases of failure. Thus, it is necessary to intervene again through endodontic retreatment. Various techniques can be used to remove gutta-percha obturator material during retreatment. To improve the efficiency and success of retreatments, nickel-titanium (NiTi) systems have been developed that provide greater elastic flexibility when compared to conventional files, and reduce clinical time, providing greater comfort for the dentist and patient. Therefore, the aim of this study will be to evaluate and compare morphological changes resulting from the removal of obturator material during endodontic retreatment in curved root canals with new generation nickel titanium systems: ProDesign Logic RT, Pro R Retreatment and XP-endo finisher , checking whether or not there was apical displacement and comparing the final root canal cleaning between the systems. The population of this study consists of extracted natural teeth (inferior molars), in which the mesial roots of the lower molars were used because they were curved, which were included in the inclusion criteria through radiographic evaluation. After selection, the samples went through the acquisition and processing of the initial images in the microtomograph, so that, later, the pairing of the groups could be performed, as follows: G1- ProDesign Logic RT; G2- ProDesign Logic RT + XP-endo finisher; G3 - Pro R Retreatment; G4- Pro R Retreatment + XP-endo finisher. Then, all endodontic treatment was performed (coronary opening, odontometry, chemical-mechanical preparation, conometry and obturation through the single-cone technique). The pulp chambers were cleaned, and the teeth stored at 37 ° C, 100% air humidity for 72 hours to allow complete cement setting, simulating oral conditions. Subsequently, retreatment will begin with the systems selected for use in each group. The procedures will be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. No solvent will be used for either group. Finally, the apical deviation will be evaluated and measured by comparing the images of the channels obtained in the microtomograph before and after retreatment, as well as the final cleaning, so that the statistical analysis can be performed.
