TRANSFORMATION OF THE FICTIONAL ROMANCE READER OF CUSTOMS IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

The novel of manners reading in the eighth grade classroom of elementary school aims at the contribution to students' reading education, literary literacy and theoretical reinforcement SOARES (1999), through the students' pleasure of reading and shows tools to help them in the process of searching an autonomous and proficient reading. This work is an action research, that is to say, a classroom intervention whose research corpus consists of reading records made by the students during the reading practices and the analytical guidance of the teacher. For this end, it uses the reading diary based on MACHADO (1998) whose analysis can present the students' reading performance data in the construction of meaning aspect, advances and difficulties in the development of reading skills. To suport the intervention in theory, it counts on MAIA (2007) among others, to deal with the relationship between literature and teaching, reading and readers' development, including, in this case, the teachers as readers.
