3D MRI Reconstruction on Golden-angle Linogram Domains

In Magnetic Resonance Imaging, high quality imaging of the heart requires special sampling patterns. Golden-angle 3D Kooshball radial sampling domains have isotropic spatial resolution, motion robustness, incoherent undersampling behavior and flexible sample sorting, with applications in heart imaging due to these characteristics. However, the image reconstruction algorithms for those domains have limited performance. In this work we propose the Golden-Angle Full-spoke Linogram Fourier Domain in 3D (GAFLiD3) and Golden-Angle Half-spoke Linogram Fourier Domain in 3D (GAHLiD3), analogous linogram-based domains with lower computational image reconstruction cost. Their reconstruction algorithms are implemented, and results compared to radial domain reconstruction.
