PROPOSAL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PERMANENT EDUCATION CORE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCES IN THE DIGESTIVE ENDOSCOPY SERVICE OF THE ONOFRE LOPES UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL.
Permanent Education, Endoscopy, Teaching
Health education is often carried out intuitively and following traditional pedagogical principles. There is now a movement to insert pedagogical techniques already well established and proven in other areas of knowledge in medical education. The lack of pedagogical development of teachers and preceptors makes the teaching-learning process difficult, resulting in training of residents with a focus on knowledge and not professional competence. In addition, it may discomforte preceptors and teachers who, without specific training, on how to teach and evaluate learners / residents, do so intuitively or even deviate from the preceptory impairing the quality of training. Preceptors are experts in performing all procedures, but without academic background on the teaching-learning process. The purpose of this project is to understand the difficulties of preceptors and teachers for teaching and to begin the development of pedagogical skills to improve the training in the digestive endoscopy program (PREMED) of Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes (HUOL). This is an exploratory, descriptive study, involving preceptors and teachers working in PREMED. A questionnaire was applied to delineate the profile of the preceptors, to identify the previous knowledge about teaching and learning, as well as the main difficulties faced in the "being" teacher / tutor of the residency in endoscopy. Based on the information obtained, two meetings were held in which the principles of adult education in the health area were introduced. As a result of the initial systematization of the meetings for pedagogical training, the manual of the resident and the tutor of the residence in digestive endoscopy of HUOL was prepared.
