LIVING MEMORY: ARCHITECTURE PROJECT OF INDIGENOUS CULTURAL CENTER IN BAÍA DA TRAIÇÃO - PB
Architectural Design. Indigenous architecture. Cultural Center
This professional master's qualification work consists of a technical design proposal for architectural intervention for an indigenous cultural center in Baía da Traição, intended for the Potiguara indigenous peoples of the state of Paraíba. This document consists of a technical report, as well as the architectural project. Understanding the countless cultural losses that indigenous people have suffered historically, the work aims to propose a building that can be a stage and assist in a process of cultural preservation, through a vivid space, designed for the most diverse cultural manifestations. To develop the project, an in-depth theoretical-conceptual analysis of the topic and the target audience was initially carried out, through bibliographical research and design reference studies. Next, the architectural programming was developed, defining dilemmas and project goals. From this base, and with the help of the disciplines previously taught in the course, the design process was gradually developed and mapped, through different forms of recording, from the initial stages of conditioning studies, conception and development of the architectural design. The work sought to use architectural strategies to provide thermal comfort, in a fluid and integrative environment. Understanding that the project is still in the development process, the result achieved consists of a preliminary study. It is possible to conclude that some decisions still need to mature.
