Compact apartament: proposal for vertical building for mixed use in Recife/PE
Architectural Design. Minimum housing. Dimensional and environmental quality.
This Professional Master's Qualification Work, also constituted in a technical report, consists of an architectural proposal for a commercial and residential building in Recife / PE with an emphasis on housing with a minimum area and its dimensional and environmental quality. The real estate market in order to increase sales offers more and more apartments with smaller areas using the same program and spatial arrangement of units with larger areas, standardizing this model of housing for the middle class without questioning its quality. The objective of this project is to propose a building with compact housing units, seeking solutions prioritizing the environmental quality of the spaces. To develop the project, a theoretical and conceptual study of the theme was initially carried out, through bibliographic research and studies of project references. Then, the architectural programming was developed, with definition of dilemmas and goals of the project. From this base, and with the help of the curricular components of the course, the design process was gradually being developed and mapped, through various forms of registration, from the initial stages of studies of constraints, design and development of the architectural party. Considering the specific objectives, the work sought architectural strategies to determine the minimum dimensioning required for activities according to each residential environment and the best way to organize these environments considering the environmental conditions of the proposed area. The results achieved consist of the proposal of units with areas and typologies according to the profile of the users analyzed in a general way, forming the building that on the ground floor has an area for commercial use. It is possible to conclude that several factors influence the result of a proposal for housing, mainly with reduced area, users, activities, the location of the building, the format of the units, and because of this, standardizing a housing model is insufficient in the search for quality.
