Urbanity. Density. Architectural Project. Mixes use. Open block. Parametrics.
This partial dissertation presents the research and stages design of an architecture project of a mixed use building in open block, Whose configuration AIMS to please the relationship with the public space, considering the attributes of density and urbanity - concept intrinsically related to urban vitality and the recognition of the other in the city space. It is justified by the perception that the configuration of many buildings of our cities promotes the disconnection between public and private spaces, contributing to the emptying of urban spaces. Based on space syntax theoretical approach, this paper argues that the built form, as well as the urban configuration, exerts effects on patterns of urbanity, urban vitality, key concepts to be explored in this dissertation, but also in the performance of environmental comfort. Regarding environmental comfort, the parameterization will be the tool to be implemented throughout the research to attest the thermal performance of the proposed morphology. The implementation is of the open court type, concept defended by architects like Christian Potzamparc. To assist in the development of the architectural proposal, the bibliographical review of references related to key concepts was carried out; The identification of its attributes in examples of the environment built with mixed use; And the application of these concepts to the design of the project. In the course of the research, spatial syntax tools have Also Been used to simulate accessibility and visibility properties that associated with such concepts and ground the design proposal. The universe of study is a block located in the area of Natal / RN, in the neighborhood of Cidade Alta.
