Health Care Unit, Constructive Method, Sustainable Architecture.
The present work has the objective of developing the project of an Emergency Unit for the Western District in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. This equipment was implemented by the Ministry of Health through the National Policy of Emergency Care in 2003 with the proposal to establish equipment that could meet and diagnose the population in basic cases and health intermediaries, as well as to unravel the long lines of the Hospitals for more serious cases. Understanding to be a public health equipment, the bidding process plays a fundamental role in the conception of the project and execution of the work, this intermediary agent between State and designer is on several occasions the reason why the public constructions are developed in a basic way, meeting only the minimum requirements. The challenge proposed here was to develop a project with adequate budget, with humanizing and sustainable solutions, thus, for the development of the proposal, research was carried out on practical and less polluting construction methods as well as solutions for natural ventilation and humanized projects for Health equipment.
