HEALTH CARE FOR TRANSVESTITES AND TRANSSEXUALS IN THE SINGLE HEALTH SYSTEM

In Brazilian health care, issues related to gender diversity must be addressed. considered social markers and structural determinants of the health-disease process. However, people in vulnerable situations, such as transvestites and transsexuals, still face challenges to have the right to health in an integral way, since their health needs are not fully recognized. Therefore, this thesis aims to investigate how the health care for transvestites and transsexuals in the Unified Health System. objective, it was decided to carry out a study involving three methodological techniques: bibliometric analysis of Brazilian theses and dissertations on transvestility, transsexuality and health; systematic review of scientific articles about health care for transvestites and people transsexuals in the Unified Health System; and a qualitative case study, based on the theoretical-methodological framework of phenomenology, under the sociological approach, with transvestites and transsexuals. Finally, it should be noted that the conclusion of the thesis will take place after the completion of the analysis. the data from the case study, also taking into account the recommendations pointed out by the qualifying examination board.
