The discursive construction of so-called criminal bodies by police content on Instagram

With the effervescence of digital social networks and a new logic of media redemocratization, which allows the public itself to produce content for the internet and interact with its users, the number of profiles, journalistic sayings, especially those with a police content, has been occupying a massive digital spaces like Instagram. The present research, therefore, seeks to investigate the discursive construction of the so-called criminal bodies by these profiles, using the Critical Discourse Analysis of Van Dijk (2018) and other authors who think about power, control and media and bringing issues of race and sexuality, which are intrinsic to this discussion.
