EMOTIONS AND SOCIABILITIES IN CONFLICT: ANALYSIS OF COMMENTS ON THE FACEBOOK PAGES OF THE MAGAZINES VEJA AND CARTA CAPITAL IN CRISIS TIMES
Network conversations; Brazilian political and economic crisis; Sociabilities; Emotions.
This thesis analyzes the conversations established in the comment space of the magazines Veja and Carta Capital on the social network site facebook during the years 2015 and 2016, considering the scenario of Brazilian political and economic crisis and paying attention to the sociabilities forged in this context and the emotions that are reverberated by the symbolic exchanges carried out in the network. In order to do so, the assumptions of the Ethnomethodology and its approach on the Analysis of the Conversation are used, in order to understand the cultural methods used by the commentators to support the practice of conversation and meaning to their positions. The preliminary results indicate the predominance of the sociability of the conflict in the engendered conversations, which are mainly based on the elements that compose the Brazilian political and economic crisis, being the presence of controversial emotions in the fabric and production of their senses, hatred and resentment, states of mind that point to inconsistencies with meanings representative of Brazilian society as being cheerful, warm and welcoming. The emergence of a particular sociocultural grammar to deal with current events and their reflections on social relations - the intensification of conflict, a nod to the indifference and irruption of the senses and horizons of morality and justice.
