The constant questioning about the role of the media in the different spheres of our life is blooming phenomena in all social levels. The insertion of demonstrations in the media field brings out the antagonism between tradition and modernity and identity constructions. This study discusses is how the television media visibility of Saint John the Northeast program affects the June festivities of Brazil's Northeast, turning them into media, economic and tourist products. The purpose is generally analyze the representation practices of popular Northeastern culture within the regional festival of gangs Globe Northeast inserted in the content of St. John the Northeast program. Specifically, if there is ownership of demonstrations by the media, analyzing how the June gangs remains within this scenario developing the culture of different northeastern states.
