Tourist activity is intrinsically linked to hospitality, as welcoming is inherent in the visitation process. In addition to the receptivity of residents and professionals in the tourist area, the place of visitation also needs to be hospitable so that the tourist activity develops as planned. The geographic space where the interactions between visitors and visitors takes place is the focus of the research presented here that seeks to understand how the relationship between tourism and urban hospitality is characterized and shaped in the configuration of the local tourist product. The research should investigate which are the relations between turimo and urban hospitality that interfere in the attractiveness of tourist destinations. The study proposes to investigate the relationship between urban hospitality and the effect it has on the construction of the product ∕ tourist destination. For the analysis to take place, it will also be necessary to: spatially describe the locations chosen by the research reflecting the tourist structure; verify the perception of professionals in the tourism area and ∕ or owners of tourist establishments regarding the relationship between urban hospitality and the attractiveness of the locality; list the urban aspects that favor the attractiveness and urban hospitality of the places surveyed. The methodological procedures of this study will be carried out through descriptive-exploratory research using research scripts to support semi-structured and in-depth interviews, in addition to participatory field observations, with professionals in the process as actors in this process. doturismo and owners of tourist enterprises involved with the regional tourist activity. The spatial section will consist of the second beach municipalities: Natal, Tibau do Sul and São Miguel do Gostoso. The analysis of the data will be done, mostly, through the analysis of the discourse, although it is also necessary to use secondary quantitative data. The literature used should be specific and varied on the complex theme of tourism and urban hospitality. Firkowski, Santos, Faria, Dias, Harvey, Cabrerizo and Camargo will be some of the authors who will be consulted regarding the theoretical and conceptual assumptions that will serve as the basis for this investigation. It is expected to achieve an epistemological, ontologically relevant understanding of the phenomenon, of the confluence of theory and empirical reality, prospected through appropriate methods and techniques, serving as a parameter and guidance in the elaboration and conception of plans and strategies for tourism development of consolidated or not destinations . It presupposes the need for studies in this sensitive field of presence and influence of the economic, social and sustainable activity of tourism. It is aimed, therefore, to take the study of tourism to a more humanistic perspective while remaining concerned with more technical issues.
