SUMMARY:

Self-inflicted violence is described as acts of violence against oneself, which can be defined
as self-harm, suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, and suicide, corresponding to the third
leading cause of death among adolescents worldwide and in Brazil, with a growing number
of cases. In this context, psychosocial care centers provide assistance to these cases, offering
comprehensive care based on the needs of each adolescent. Thus, the objective of this study
is to analyze the interdisciplinary assistance provided by psychosocial care centers to cases of
self-inflicted violence in adolescents. This research will be based on the theoretical
framework of interdisciplinarity and the philosophical reference of the author Winnicott, who
addresses child development, as well as current society from the perspective of Han and
Debord. It is an analytical study with a qualitative approach. The data collection will be
carried out using a sample of health professionals who work in psychosocial care centers in
the northeastern states and have already provided assistance to adolescents who have
practiced self-harm from the different modalities of CAPS (Psychosocial Care Centers), and
they will be contacted by telephone, WhatsApp and/or email. For this study, all ethical
requirements for research with human beings will be followed and will be reviewed by the
Research Ethics Committee.
