SUMMARY:

"Entremeios Poéticos" proposes an immersion into the poetic realm of the Boi and Jaraguá interludes present in Reisado São Francisco (led by Mestre Tico Barbosa) and the sword battles featured in Guerreiras Santa Lúcia (led by Mestra Lúcia Guerreira). To achieve this, an educational space was established, drawing on the poetic frameworks of the masters' transmission processes and the memories evoked by these processes. Utilizing the epistemological approach of Bahian Ethnocenology proposed by Armindo Jorge de Carvalho Bião (2009; 2011), the project engaged with concepts of aesthetic matrices and trajectories, considering the intersection of theater and the traditions of the Cariri region. Thus, through the teaching and learning processes in the playful terreiros of Mestra Lúcia Guerreira and Mestre Tico Barbosa, a theatrical experiment titled "Entremeios Poéticos" (2024) was developed.
