PHYSICAL PLAYS AS A METHODICAL PRINCIPLE IN TEACHING DANCE FOR CHILDREN
Teaching, Art, Dance Education, physical plays
This work is a qualitative research initiative that seeks to reflect on the teaching of dance with children through the practice of physical plays as the methodical approach for the development of dance classes at Elementary level in a public school. The main question raised was on how to take a dance class in which students are motivated to participate and learn about other art related teaching possibilities. For this, research by different dance authors is referenced for reflection, such as Carolina Andrade and Kathya Godoy (2018), Teodora Alves (2019), Márcia Strazzacappa (2001), Karenine Porpino (2006) and Lara Machado (2017).
