From the Stage to the Ride - Essays on the process of "cirquization" of the theater of Cia. 2 em Cena
Theater circus. Cia. 2 em Cena. Clowning. Circus skills.
The present work investigates how the process of "cirquization" of the theater of Cia. 2 was performed in a theater, circus and dance scene, a collective based in Recife / PE, which, based on a research on the Brazilian Circus and Clowns, to combine, on stage, circus and theatrical elements. The research undertaken is configured as a case study and takes five company spectacles as objects of analysis. Authors such as Bolognesi (2003), Reis (2013) and Rémy (2016) base their studies on classical clowning and the Brazilian circus. The studies of the teacher and researcher Béatrice Picon-Vallin are used to support the phenomenon of theater "cirquization". Cultural hybridization processes are analyzed through Burke's research (2010) and seek to understand the relationship between circus and theater and how this dialogue corroborated the construction of a work aesthetic of the collective.
