NTEGRATION OF THE TEXTILE SUPPLY CHAIN WITH CIRCULAR ECONOMY: ANALYSIS OF SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY.
Supply Chain, Circular Economy, Textile Inndustry
The textile industry is responsible for significant environmental and social impacts, which underscores the need for more sustainable production models. In this context, Circular Economy (CE) emerges as a strategic alternative, proposing the reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling of materials and products, aiming to extend their useful life cycle and reduce waste. However, the transition to circular models occurs unevenly across companies, influenced by technical, cultural, and organizational barriers. In light of this scenario, this work aims to propose a circular economy maturity framework for the textile industry, structured around axes and indicators capable of measuring the degree of integration of circular practices within organizations. To this end, a systematic literature review will be conducted, in addition to the development of a questionnaire to rank companies according to different levels of maturity. The framework seeks to contribute both to academia, by consolidating critical dimensions of circularity, and to business practice, offering a diagnostic tool and guidance for evolution towards sustainability.
