Population aging has increased the challenges associated with the care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD), requiring nursing professionals to develop specific competencies to address the clinical, functional, and psychosocial dimensions of this condition. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the literature to identify the main nursing interventions directed at older adults with AD, as well as their impacts on quality of life and the management of behavioral and cognitive symptoms. Additionally, an educational booklet was developed based on the critical synthesis of these findings. The literature search was conducted in four databases (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Embase), following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the Newcastle–Ottawa scale, and data extraction included sample characteristics, type of intervention, outcomes (quality of life, cognitive and behavioral symptoms), and limitations. After the selection process, 15 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the systematic review. The results demonstrated that non-pharmacological interventions such as reminiscence therapy, psychosocial support for caregivers, communication strategies, and continuing education programs led by nurses were effective in promoting patients' well-being and reducing caregiver burden. Additionally, structured models of care and the use of assistive technologies showed potential for improving nursing care delivery. It is concluded that nursing plays a fundamental role in the management of AD and that the availability of educational materials may contribute to the standardization of care practices, humanization of assistance, and strengthening of public health policies aimed at the elderly population. Furthermore, the educational booklet developed in this study provides practical guidance applicable to different stages of AD and serves as an accessible tool for improving the quality of care.
