Adequate glycemic control is essential for the management of diabetes mellitus, especially in patients using insulin. However, adherence to treatment and continuous monitoring of blood glucose levels still represent significant challenges. This study aims to develop and propose the validation of an educational material in spreadsheet format to assist patients and health professionals in recording and monitoring glycemic control. The methodology includes an integrative review of the literature, in which effective educational strategies for glycemic management were identified. Based on the evidence found, the spreadsheet was structured with specific fields for recording glycemic measurements, insulin administration, and daily habits, allowing a detailed analysis of glycemic patterns. The next stage of the research foresees the validation of the material by experts and the target audience, using the Content Validity Index (CVI). The developed tool is expected to contribute to treatment adherence and improvement of clinical outcomes of diabetic patients.
