SUMMARY:

The lives of people living with HIV / AIDS have changed in recent years due to the emergence of antiretroviral therapy, however, it is more difficult to manage users who do not want or are unable to follow the guidelines on pharmacotherapeutic treatment. It is necessary to know what pharmaceutical care means and represents for these people. The main objective of this study is to evaluate users' perception of pharmaceutical care performed in a specialized HIV / AIDS care service and its secondary objectives (1) are to describe the socioeconomic profile of users (2) to analyze satisfaction and performance indicators of care for patients with HIV / AIDS in the pharmacy and (3) develop a medical record for pharmaceutical care in the SAE. This study has a quantitative, applied, descriptive, survey-type approach to pharmaceutical care aimed at people living with HIV / AIDS attended by the service and residents in Caicó. Data will be collected from interviews using structured questionnaires that will be used in further analysis.
