The Higher Education Technological Program in Analysis and Development of Systems (TADS) aims to train professionals capable of understanding the process of knowledge construction and reconstruction in the field of systems analysis and development and, thus, carry out activities of conceiving, specification, design, implementation, evaluation, support and maintenance of computer systems, driving their action in society in general and in the work environment in particular towards the search for solutions for the productive sector (notably the primary sector of the economy) and for the improvement of the quality of life of populations. Graduates will work in the area of systems analysis and development, and may perform activities in the fields of systems analysis, software engineering, project management and database administration.

Beyond general training in Technology in Analysis and Development of Systems, the program aims to promote integration between agrarian sciences and Information Technology (IT) with its various sub-areas, thus obtaining a range of benefits and broadening the spectrum of professional training at the higher education level. This is because a program of this nature will allow graduates to propose technological solutions in software and/or hardware for agrarian sciences or, using a more specific and market-oriented nomenclature, for the agribusiness and family farming chain, thus being strategic for regional and national development. These objectives are based on the training of technologists with technical-scientific capacity and a comprehensive, ethical, and humanistic vision, committed to the well-being of the society involved and to sustainable development, exercising all the skills related to the profession.
