Introduction: Health has gained space since the Federal Constitution so that health policies can be implemented, so that the promotion, protection and recovery of health is guaranteed by the Organic Health Law, while Law 8,142/1990 supports the strengthening of social participation in the SUS, thus the Intersectoral Commission on Workers' Health has the purpose of advising the Health Councils regarding aspects related to occupational health and safety. In this sense, the National Workers' Health Policy points out principles and guidelines to guarantee workers, however important points are no longer seen in the context of daily practice in the services of different professional categories, social control is a method that can strengthen this policy . Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of the Intersectoral Commission on Workers' Health on social participation in Workers' Health. Methodology: It is exploratory, analytical in nature, descriptive in nature with a qualitative data analysis approach. The research will take place through an on-site interview to ascertain the knowledge of the participants and will continue with an extension course, in an event that will bring together members of the Intersectoral Commission on Workers' Health and the 5th Health Region, in the municipality of Santa Cruz/RN. Data collection will be carried out through the application of a diagnostic questionnaire. After completing the extension course, the same questionnaire will be reapplied for post-test purposes. In this sense, the number of participants that make up the research sample will be 35, with 30 members of the Intersectoral Commission on Workers' Health and 05 workers from the 5th Health Region of the Workers' Health Surveillance department. To interpret the qualitative data analysis, Bardin's data analysis method will be used. The research project will be submitted to Plataforma Brasil, for approval by the Research Ethics Committee, after approval by the Municipal Health Department, the Municipal Health Council and the 5th Health Region of Santa Cruz/RN. Expected Results: The aim is to identify the knowledge prior to the extension course and subsequent to it of the research participants on Occupational Health in order to carry out the notification of health problems to this public. It is believed that this study can contribute to strengthening the measures that permeate Occupational Health, with a view to seeking social strengthening through the Intersectoral Commission on Occupational Health, training workers and health professionals.
