Health Services Assessment Applied To Specialized Rehabilitation Centers: Proposition Of A Logical Model
Keywords: Public Health, Rehabilitation Centers, Rehabilitation, Health Management, Health Services Administration
Introduction: Specialized Rehabilitation Centers (SRC) can assist people with disabilities like physical, hearing, visual, intellectual and others. To guarantee comprehensive health care, it is necessary to facilitate the planning of service actions and communication between the individuals involved in their conduct. The logical model, a graphical representation that highlights the various possible relationships between the activities and the expected results, becomes a facilitating tool for decision-making. Objective: Build and validate a logical model for SRC. Method: Qualitative study, carried out in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, with nine SRC analyzed. Starting from the documentary analysis and later from the technical analysis of a focus group, composed of managers and workers, for a proposal of a logical model. The information was categorized by thematic content analysis. Then the categories was analyzed from the perspective of the theoretical references of collective health and health assessment. Result: The proposed logical model has five categories: demands, resources (inputs, finances, and workforce), processes, products, and results. Conclusion: The elaboration of a logical model for the SRC enabled the identification of objectives, scenarios, resources, difficulties, products, and impacts of these services within the Care Network for People with Disabilities in a Clear and Objective Way. The use of this tool can be used as a management tool and in the health decision-making process.
