SUMMARY:

This research deals with a search for the development of the methods of solving Differential Equations proposed by Leibniz, Huygens, Jakob Bernoulli and Johann Bernoulli in the midst of correspondence exchanged and/or publications in the Actas Eruditorum in the last decade of the 17th century. The general objective was to analyze the problems that gave rise to the constitution of models and solutions for Differential Equations, as a mathematical knowledge of the field of Differential Calculus, in order to identify and explain its conceptual and didactic potentialities for teaching this theme in the Mathematics course. of the present. In this way, we point out the characters historically appointed as responsible for these mathematical creations with their respective problems and solutions. For this purpose, we use content analysis as a methodological resource according to Bardin (2016) in order to interpret information from primary and secondary sources explored throughout the text, in addition to making our reflective comments on the historical context of the 17th century. We end with some proposals that can be explored in the classroom during the discipline of Differential Equations (or nomenclatures that address the subject) or in History of Mathematics. We conclude that the research can contribute to the teaching of ordinary differential equations, with regard to the investigative work on the subject.
