SUMMARY:

The present research aims to carry out, with the help of the Theory of Objectification (TO), a study on the Algebraic Treatise of Omar Khayyam, seeking to apprehend the ways that lead the mathematics teacher in training to develop multiple looks at the same mathematical object. . In different periods of history, knowledge in general, and mathematical objects in particular, were seen from different perspectives. Omar Khayyam's look at a cubic equation and the elements of its resolution was peculiar, the Islamic sage's text develops all the resolutions of cubic equations by geometric procedures. Thus, when dealing with the different looks at the same mathematical object, it is observed that the TO exposes the vision as a cultural organ, as a collective act that depends on the interactions and needs of society, in this way the vision at a given historical moment has its particularities, which it is possible to observe and compare different historical moments. Thus, the proposed thesis is: The Theory of Objectification enables a study (a methodology) that develops in the mathematics teacher in training the understanding that the same mathematical object can be seen by multiple perspectives. Depth Hermeneutics is used for the study of the historical text and is supported by the Theory of Objectification, which conceives of learning how to know and become, aiming at the dialectical formation of reflexive, critical and ethical subjects, to use the didactic potentialities that emerge from the historical text and to subsidize the elaboration of the tasks that make up the pedagogical intervention, which follows the object-objective-task structure, whose object is the knowledge to be updated, in order to achieve its object, the activity must be developed with one or more objectives, and to achieve the objectives of the activity it is necessary to devise actions to be carried out. In order to improve the research, a pilot intervention was applied, a test task that offered answers and decision-making parameters in our study. The pilot intervention brought changes to the activity, making it more conducive to supporting the argument of the proposed thesis.
