Work with the genre opinion article: a teaching proposal for the 9th grade of Fundamental Education II

The purpose of this study is to express an appreciation of how writing works of textual genres are worked on in order to argue in Portuguese Language books of Elementary Education II, more specifically n its final year (9th year). We tried to present some consequences and considerations, as to how the production of the textual / discursive genre is being offered / worked on in Portuguese Language Textbooks. In the summaries of the Opinion Article genre, we evaluate as a fundamental aspect its functionality and accuracy in improving the quality related to conscience, and students' argumentative ability, in order to adapt the best reading and writing qualities in teaching. It is plausible to observe that the transformations that combine the teaching of Portuguese Language over the years are transversely guided by the understanding of the text as a communicative occurrence, which is revealed in the textual genre, and the need to prioritize work with genders in the context of classroom. As much as a large part of literal textbooks already presents, at least theoretically, such perceptions, the work with texts in the classroom persists in being arduous and, in most cases, deficient. With the results, we aim to discuss whether the approach, in the textbooks used, for the teaching of written production, of the analyzed genre, contributing to the constitution of producers of these texts, benefiting, in such a way, some wings to be contracted by the student.
