METAMORPHOSIS: FROM THE LITERARY READING TO THE TEXTUAL PRODUCTION

In the public school, the Portuguese’s teaching, some students or the majority one difficulties in to understand complex statement. In this school context, students do not read literary texts, there is lack of regular reading, reading for delight, for enjoyment or even for school obligation. In general, they refuse and many claim to be annoyed by reading literary texts. The lack of reading of good texts reflects negatively on students's writing. They cannot express themselves with adequate words, and so they do not write properly what they think, resulting in imprecision of written ideas and consequent problems of argumentation. On this scenario, of poor reading and poor writing, a study of the book Metamorfoses by Ovidio was proposed, with the upgrading of lexicon by helping writing and orality and the growth of cultural knowledge. For this study we use as a base the article entitled Direito à Literatura written by Candido (1995), as well as the writing Literatura e a vida by Llosa (2004) for the method of study of literary texts, as well as Campbell (1990) and Calvin ( 1995) for the study of myth. For the textual production,we use the didactic sequence proposed by DolzandSchneuwly (2004) and for the use in classroom we use theParâmetros Curriculares Nacionais: PCN.
