SUMMARY:

Attractive optical properties of SrMoO4 and promising photocatalytic properties of g-C3N4, a heterojunction is aimed at optimizing the catalytic efficiency of g-C3N4, decreasing the recombination of the e- / h + pair, as well as decreasing the gap of SrMoO4, re catalytic activity, in addition to providing unique luminescent properties. In this work, particles of the heterostructure SrMoO4 @ x g-C3N4 (x = 0.1, 0.3, 05g) were synthesized by sonochemical method, at controlled temperatures of 15, 30 and 45ºC, evaluating the influence of g-C3N4 without semiconductor, as well as investigating the possible modifications and properties with temperature variation. The particles were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), proving the effectiveness of the new synthesis parameter; morphologically characterized by scanning electron microscopy, with field emission (SEM-FEG); optical properties were investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) techniques; and photocatalytic properties were evaluated using UV radiation on the degradation of organic contaminants Methylene Blue, Rhodamine B and Crystal Violet, through a UV-Vis spectrophotometer.
