RESUMO:

The present work proposes to evaluate the metallurgical profile of this interfacial region, using Inconel 625 and Inox 309L as addition metals deposited by the MIG process in low steel carbon. However, for coating soldering to achieve its purpose, low-dilution coatings must be ensured during processing, however, obtaining high-dilution coatings in the present work is intended to evaluate the influence of this at the coating interface with the base metal. Therefore, some welding parameters were varied to obtain coating layers with different metallurgical characteristics, to influence the substrate / coating interaction, varying the values of the welding and feed rates of the wire, obtaining coatings with different percentages of dilution. The welds were deposited on plates with 200 X 100 X 10 mm, forming test bodies with a coating layer formed by three strands with two different welding energies for each deposited coating. From these specimens were taken for metallographic preparation, followed by analysis by light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy with field emission and microhardness test. The results showed a direct relationship between the percentage of dilution and the addition metals used, so coatings using Inox 309L presented higher dilution values when compared to coatings produced with Inconel 625. For both addition metals, higher welding rates have contributed to a greater dilution in the interfacial region of the coating because of a smaller area of reinforcement formed in the coated component. Another important result was evidenced by microhardness analysis, where it was possible to observe a considerable increase in the hardness values in the interfacial region, more precisely in the partially diluted zones (PDZ) and in the heat-affected zones (HAZ) closest to the fusion line.
