Yoga practice in the chair and its effects on motor capacity on older people: an inclusive yoga modality

people with reduced mobility. Being the elderly population increasing profile,

quality of life. Therefore, it was the objective of the study: to verify the influence of the practice of
yoga adapted in the chair on mobility conditions through execution
of a sequence of movements and their relationship with the performance of capacity
motor. Analyzed 18 elderly (men = 12), (women = 6) of two institutions of
Long stay, evaluated pre and post interventions in yoga sitting and yoga
restorative, using fleximeter, Berg equilibrium scale, sphignanometer and
Oximeter. Was found in statistical analyzes that there was no difference between the
classes, however, individualized, changes in the post, increase in
EEB score and subjective aspects of feeling and sensations
expressed in the lines.
