SUMMARY:

Digital Technologies and Media are increasingly present in the social environment in general and in school contexts. Based on this, the school can be a locus to trigger them in a critical, creative, productive way and I understand the classroom as an ecological environment. For them to be systematized and problematized in this institution, teachers need to know how to integrate them into their pedagogical practices. However, initial training seems to be insufficient or practically non-existent when it comes to Digital Technology and Media, making it necessary for teachers who are in service to participate in continuing training to better understand the subject. Thus, this study sought to analyze whether continuing education can contribute to Physical Education teachers at SEETC-PB, in the Sertão Paraibano, appropriating Digital and Media Technologies, based on Media-Education. This is a qualitative research. The investigation procedure was structured based on the methodological resource of collaborative research proposed by Desgagné (2007) and Ibiapina (2008), who study the collaboration between university researchers and practical teachers, in the development of knowledge related to teaching practice. Collaborative research uses participatory methodologies. The research universe was composed by the researcher and five collaborating professors who teach in the 9th or 10th teaching management of Paraíba. As an inclusion/exclusion criterion, they had to teach in one of these two managements and be an effective teacher in the network. The instruments and procedures for collecting information were: (1) diagnostic questionnaires; (2) reflection on training processes; (3) Field diary; (4) photographic records and (5) semi-structured interview. Training took place between September and December 2022, divided into three stages: conceptual, practical and evaluative. The first and third stage meetings took place online, via Google Meet. The practical stage in the schools of the respective participants. All remote meetings were recorded and later transcribed. These data along with the other instruments used to obtain information were analyzed from a narration, which runs from the selection of participants to the final evaluation stage. As findings, the professors were unaware of the term Media-Education. When comparing the frequency of use of Digital Technologies and Media, teachers made greater use for personal demands. When building a map, teachers see Digital Technologies and Media as ambivalent. The main artifact used in the school context was the smartphone, being the object of systematization and problematization of the teachers' pedagogical practices. A possible ecological change in seat preference caused by mobile phones was observed. There was a certain lack of communication between students and the school. The professors believe that the training could contribute to the appropriation of the theme. In this way, the professors were allowed to act in their pedagogical practices, reflecting on the way in which they integrated Digital Technologies and the Media in their respective classes. The researcher, on the other hand, can exercise his role as a trainer/mediator, dialoguing with his collaborators about the theme and problem situations that emerged during the training meetings.
