The researcher's academic path through Education / Physical Education, in its initial formation, it was noticed that the issue of disability was little tensioned towards a perspective for the formation and for the enlightenment and, at the same time, it was clear how few were the studies / research involving this theme, which generated a process of awareness and interest in the issue of inclusion and difference, which was being fed through the lived experiences. This research aims to analyze how people with intellectual disabilities express their learning, in the context of sports practices, from media education. The research problem was: how does the person with intellectual disability express their learning about the sport practice (swimming and athletics), using the media language? How can the pedagogical process of the core actions / activities contribute to the formulation of meaning and meaning of sports practice through media education? From the methodological point of view, the study was based on the characteristics of the techniques of critical research, using participant observation, field diary and semi-structured interviews as a resource for information gathering. The empirical field was children, adolescents, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities participating in the core of the Segundo Tempo Paradesporto Program (PSTp), which is part of the agreement between the Ministry of Sport and the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte. The study was qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive. That said, the idea was to work with a PSTp core class that is comprised of 20 to 25 beneficiaries (of both genders - child, adolescent, youth and adult), thus having a sample of about 1/3 of the total. beneficiaries served by the core. The research took place at a single specific moment, subdivided into three stages. In the first stage a meeting was held with the parents or guardians of the potential participants, who make up the class participating in the research. In the second stage, the researcher held meetings with the actors and actresses investigated, experiences that discuss and problematize physical education and sports about the media from the concept of media education (BELLONI, 2001). Still in the second stage as feedback of the media production made by the participants, that is, the result of the subjects' view of the experiences provided by sports practice on the media from their criticism and creativity in the production of media narratives of their experiences. In the third stage, more individualized conversations (semi-structured interview) were held with the research actors with their guardians.
