RESUMO:

This work looks at the dances of Pará in order to reveal symbolic and cultural meanings and meanings for Physical Education, from the perspective of Merleau-Ponty phenomenological body and its reflections, building horizons, dialogues and discussions about the mediations between body, aesthetics and popular culture and how these dances are manifested as a phenomenon incorporated in the Pará body where it is constituted as a vector for the understanding of this culture, guiding the perception of my gaze, the gaze of the other as a subjective source of knowledge close to the reality lived for the purpose to enable an approximation with the meanings and meanings that emanate from the phenomenon allowing the reader other experiences of sensibilities that point to a relation of values acquired according to the experience of each individual, values that can be related to the culture in general, involving from customs, religion and tradition and establish of relations with Physical Education. Thus, for the development of the work we will have as a methodological basis a qualitative study that seeks to discover and classify the relationship between variables, which is the study, analysis, recording and interpretation of the facts of the physical world without the interference of the researcher , supporting us in the conceptions of the phenomenological method of Maurice Merleau-Ponty because we understand that the philosopher does not conform to any scientific model, nor a protocol nor does it limit us to closed concepts. In this study we take as a reference the presentation of the Ballet Folkloric group of the Amazon in the show "dançares amazônicos" proposing to broaden the concepts and to conduct this understanding we use from various types of records such as presentations, videos, lyrics, costumes, giving a dynamic that connects the different signs reflecting them the different knowledges. In order to discuss these different cultural dances as a field of interdisciplinary and dynamic knowledge, we understand the contours of the body's action as a culture and that require a look at research objects that contextualize them in their most varied dimensions, thus allowing them to be rewritten, in which it can sometimes be contradictory when the whole determines and is determined by the singular experiences.
