This monographic work intends the debates of the continuous formation of Physical Education teachers with the studies of the media and digital technologies, with the objective of analyzing the appropriation of the teachers of the Municipal Education Department (SME) of the municipality of Natal- RN, participants in the experiences of continuing education, in relation to the dialogue between EFE and media culture. This articulation takes place through the partnership between the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), through the Laboratory of Studies in Physical Education, Sports and Media (LEFEM), and the SME of Natal-RN, through the team of teacher trainers, responsible for the continuing education program and pedagogical support of the Physical Education curriculum component of the municipality. The outline of this research is based on action research, evolving approximately 70 subjects, of which 9 triggered the proposal of articulation between pedagogic and media culture. Through the Seminar of Pedagogical Experiences in School Physical Education and Media Culture, it was possible to qualitatively analyze the discourses about the experiences of 3 of these teachers, for which we use as technique the content analysis. We have identified that the experiences with the tensioning of the media culture in the continuous formation, through concepts of the media studies, provided a space for reflection on the pedagogical practice of these teachers, who appropriated the relations elaborated in the continuous formation by the incorporation of the experience, in their training and, consequently, in their professional performance. Thus, to propose a concrete experience of the concepts coming from the studies of the media, they potentialize the re - signification and creation of new relations with the knowledge of the teachers, intending the factors intrinsic to the teachers that create barriers in the activation of the media culture in the pedagogical practices of the Physical School education. It is important to emphasize the need for the space of continuous formation to be open to dialogue, in the valuation of the different narratives present in this plural environment. Therefore, the constant cycles of planning, action, reflection / description and evaluation are indispensable for the tensioning and qualification of the in-service teacher training in its relationship with the media culture.
