Content about HIV/ AIDS in scientific materials shared on social networking and social media: a scoping review.
HIV, Social media, Social networks, Information dissemination.
Social networking and media play an important role in disseminating information about HIV/AIDS, in terms of awareness, prevention and support to people living with the virus. However, it is important to recognize that networking and social media can also be a space for the dissemination of misinformation and stigmatization related to HIV/AIDS. The presente study aims to map in the scientific literature the contents about HIV/aids in scientific materials shared in networking and social media. This is a scoping review that will be developed under the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-SCR (DOI10.17605/OSF.IO/TCEQH) produced in five phases: 1) identification of the research question; 2) identification of relevant studies; 3) study selection; 4) data extraction, separation, summarization and report of results and 5) reporting of results. The mnemonic Participant, Concept and Context was applied to build the research question, in which Participant corresponds to "HIV", Concept "dissemination of information" and Context "social networking" and "social media". Being defined the guiding question: "What are the main contents on HIV/ AIDS in scientific materials shared in networking and social media". The survey will be conducted in fourteen data sources. Important to note that will be an appropriate search strategy for each database. For data collection will be used the instrument developed by JBI, with adaptations that will meet the guiding question and objective of this review. The extracted data will be related to: authorship, place of research and year of publication, type of study, research objective and main results. For the analysis of the results will be used a synthesis matrix that will include the information extracted, consisting of the characterization of the studies, synthesis and categorization of the contents and will be performed by peers. The results will be presented in the format of tables, diagrams and in a descriptive way.
