Construction and validation of a guide for the transition of care to patients with mental disorders
Mental Health; Transitional Care; Guide; Nursing; Patient safety.
In the health care network, it is clear that patients with some type of mental disorder are susceptible to fragmented care when moving through different sectors in a poorly organized and systematized way. Therefore, the transition of care presents itself as a strategy to reorganize and continue the assistance provided with articulation between the team, family and services involved. Thus, it denotes the relevance of deepening discussions about the elaboration of assistance tools, as a guide, to support the management of the professionals' work, as well as to encourage the patient's self-management in their health-disease process. From this perspective, the present study has as its guiding question: What should be the content and appearance of a guide to support the transition of care for patients with mental disorders? And, it aims to develop a guide to support the transition of care for individuals with mental disorders. It is a methodological study with a mixed approach, according to Pasquali's psychometric framework, organized into three procedures: theoretical, in which a focus group will be held with mental health professionals from two reference hospitals and a Scoping Review on the transition from care for individuals with mental disorders; empirical procedures -construction of the guide and validation of content and appearance through the Delphi technique, with the collaboration of judges in the area in question; and analytical procedures, intended for data analysis through the Content Validation Coefficient.
