SUMMARY:

The migratory phenomenon has been recorded since the emergence of man on planet earth. Human beings moved initially by instinct, willingness to exploit the environment, caused by wars, religious or economic motives or through the conjunction of factors.Over the years it was possible to observe some transformations in this process and the reasons that influenced man to decide to migrate. It can be said, in this sense, that new mobilities have been incorporated into contemporary societies and the current migratory flow is added to elements inherent to today's society.The migration of nurses is an important phenomenon with varied implications, both for the countries of origin and for those of destination. Individual, social and professional factors influence the decision to migrate these nurses and the experiences lived by them reflect directly on the construction of their professional identities.In this sense, the present study aims to analyze the decision of nurses who have employment in a public teaching hospital to migrate to another institution in the regions of Brazil. This is an analytical study, with a qualitative approach, mediated by thematic oral history. Nurses from one of the university hospitals managed by the Brazilian Company of Hospital Services who requested removal both from the state of Rio Grande do Norte to other states/regions, and from the opposite path, will be invited to participate in the study.A semi-structured interview will be conducted and the data analysis will be supported by the ATLAS.ti software. for the organization of the study material. The research will follow Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council.
