CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION OF AN ONLINE COURSE FOR HEALTH EDUCATION IN THE PANORAMA OF SYPHILIS
Educational technology. Health education. Syphilis. Delivery of Health care. Primary health care.
Syphilis is a chronic bacterial infection, known as a serious public health problem worldwide. It has a prevalence of 6 million, reported and confirmed in the period 2016-2020, with a resurgence in developing countries, especially in female populations in the gestation process, with greater chances of risks and damage to the health of the mother and baby. Regarding diagnosis and treatment, when management is inadequate, transmission of acquired syphilis can occur, resulting in lesions called hard chancre, flat condyloma, mucous plaques and moist lesions, influenced by the number of treponemas present and characterizing the stage and progression. of the disease. In cases of vertical transmission, syphilis can occur at any gestational age and is influenced by the period of maternal infection and the exposure time of the fetus. Regarding the limitations of health services for care, it is recognized: inadequate management by professionals, ineffective monitoring of the disease, low education of users, lack of adherence and little understanding of the population about this clinical condition. Faced with this problem, care services play a fundamental role in intensifying health education actions in approaching syphilis, including counseling and testing of sexual partners. In this context, the World Health Organization launched as a coping strategy, an expanded program of interventions and care services, based on clinical evidence, with a view to controlling syphilis by the year 2030. Thus, the objective of this study is to to build and validate an online health education course on the syphilis panorama for women and men, (young people and adults), during consultation and/or care, in primary health care. Methodological study, following the steps of the construction and validation processes, and evaluation of tools aimed at the construction and validation of an online health education course related to syphilis. The following steps will be followed: 1st) carrying out a scoping review to map syphilis prevention strategies; 2nd) exploratory research in the Basic Family Health Units, in the Health Districts of the Municipality of Natal, regarding the care of users affected by syphilis in the network of services offered by SUS. The analysis of the results obtained will have the help of the IRAMUTEQ software, in the definition of the topics necessary for the structuring of the online course. The 3rd) stage is related to the elaboration of the course, based on Falkembach's framework, described in two steps: the 1st) referring to the construction of the educational material consisting of analysis and planning, modeling and implementation; the 2nd step corresponds to the validation of the appearance and content of the course, by judges. The qualitative analysis of the data will have the theoretical support of Falkembach, Theory of Meaningful Learning and Theory of self-care by Orem, and the statistical analysis of central, mean and median tendency, and the calculation for the Content Validity Index that will allow to evaluate the agreement of the judges on the percentage obtained for the proposed content, reaching a value of 0.80. Likewise, the level of agreement between the experts will be evaluated, through the Kappa Index (K), which consists of the ratio of the proportion of times that the judges agree in the analysis of the content, adopting values from -1 (absence of agreement) to 1 (full agreement). The project will be forwarded to the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, obeying the ethical precepts determined by Resolution 466/12. It is expected to prove the hypothesis that the online course of health education, for the management of syphilis in men and women in Primary Care, has a positive impact, resulting in improvements in the management of new cases and monitoring of their therapeutic process. In this way, the aim is to mitigate the advance of syphilis and its consequences in the population centers of developing children, men and women in adulthood, pregnant women and the elderly.
