Nursing; guidelines; Health education; ostomy; Educational Technology
The making of an ostomy causes several changes in people's lives and each one of these experiences in a different way, given the individuality of each being. The nurse has a fundamental role at this moment, since he is with the patient throughout the perioperative period, providing guidelines that help him adapt to the new reality. The objective of this research is to develop and evaluate a serious game as an educational strategy on guidelines for preoperative and postoperative patients who will be or have undergone an intestinal ostomy. This is a study that will be carried out in four stages, namely: scoping review following the steps recommended by the Joanna Briggs Institute, Reviewers Manual; development of the serious game with two scenarios, one with a preoperative consultation and the second with a postoperative visit; validation of scenarios with expert judges in the area of stomatherapy and technology development; and, implementation of the serious game. The project will be designed by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte
