SUMMARY:

Elimination stoma is the term used to define the ostomy that allows the elimination of urine (urostomy or cystostomy), or feces (colostomy or ileostomy). In this process, the individual may be vulnerable to moments of sadness, fear and shame, which can lead to withdrawal from social cycles and routine activities. Faced with this reality, nurses play an important role in the process of adaptation of the person and family, with guidelines on ostomy care, and can make use of resources for health education. Among them, the use of educational videos, such as animations, stands out. This is a strategy considered effective because it instrumentalizes the pedagogical practices of nursing in the construction of the care process, promoting adaptation and encouraging care, self-confidence, security and acceptance. In this context, the objective of this study is to produce an animated video about the care of people with elimination stomas. This is a methodological study that will be divided into three operational stages: pre-production, production and post-production. In pre-production, the content of the script will be developed, as well as pre-production elements such as synopsis, script, script organization and storyboard development. In a second moment, the script will be validated by content specialists nurses and technical specialists who produce videos with the Health Educational Content Validation Instrument (IVCES) and an adapted instrument, respectively. In the production phase, the selection of characters and scenarios, meetings for the production, and voice recording will be carried out. In the post-production stage, the video will be finalized with the help of media and video editing specialists and, finally, validated by people with ostomies who attend the Adult Rehabilitation Center through an instrument adapted for film evaluation. To measure the agreement between the judges, the Content Validity Index (CVI) will be used and, to measure the reliability, the Interrrater Agreement (IRA) will be used. We hope that both indicators attest to the quality of the video produced as a resource to be used to promote health education. The study complies with Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council, the study will only be carried out after authorization from the institutions and after approval by the Research Ethics Committee/UFRN. All ethical precepts of research on human beings will be complied with.
