SUMMARY:

Faced with the scenario of health complications related to pregnancy, the recognition of risk implies the need for specialized assessment, with additional exams and services, and for these pregnant women the current strategies focus on improving the quality of care during this critical period. In obstetrics, the embracement presents characteristics inherent to the needs and demands related to the gravidic process that is permeated by several holistic changes. Thus, the aim of this research is to evaluate the effects of educational hypermedia about embracement and obstetric risk classification on the knowledge gain of nursing students. This is a multi-methods research, which will have two researches conducted, the first consists of a methodological study that will involve the technological production, of educational hypermedia type, for the teaching of the Acolhimento Protocol and Obstetric Risk Classification. For elaboration and validation, the assumptions of Oliveira and Presmann and the model of classic instructional design analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation will be followed. The following items will be assessed general impressions, objectives, structure and relevance, appearance, efficiency and usability. For the analysis, the Content Validity Index and the binomial test will be used. The second will be the evaluation of this hypermedia, being configured as an experimental study. The participants of the study will be nursing students enrolled in subjects about the theme of the object of the study. For the evaluation, two groups will be allocated (intervention and control), and for their evaluation, statistical tests will be used, selected according to the need of data analysis, with the purpose of reaching the proposed objectives. The study was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee with a favorable opinion under protocol number 5.042.351. The research was conducted according to the required ethical standards, with a request for prior signature of the TCLE.
