SUMMARY:

Self-inflicted violence is characterized by practices of violence against oneself and can be classified as self-harm, suicidal ideation, suicide attempt and suicide. It corresponds to the third leading cause of death among adolescents in the world and in the Brazilian reality, there is an increase in these cases. In this sense, it is essential to map the factors associated with self-inflicted violence in Brazil, as well as the development of emotional strategies to face situations of self-inflicted violence in adolescents, in order to contribute to the formulation of specific care policies of that audience and family members. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with self-harm in adolescents and map out programs, strategies and coping interventions aimed at developing emotional care. This is a descriptive-exploratory study that will articulate quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data will be collected from data from the Notifiable Diseases System to identify factors associated with self-inflicted violence in adolescents, considering data from 2007 to 2021 in Brazil. The data will be submitted to descriptive and inferential analysis, using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, adopting a significance level of 5%. Qualitative data will be collected using the Scoping Review methodological proposal, proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute Manual and following the PRISMA-ScR recommendations. To assist in the analysis of the studies, the Intelligent Systematic Review software will be used, later with the help of the Atlas.ti 9.0 software, the data will be organized, coded and for qualitative analysis. This research will have as theoretical foundation the concept of violence in Hannah Arendt, who highlights in her thought that violence seems to occur whenever certain favorable conditions occur, such as the loss of authority or some transformations in traditional power relations. For this study, all ethical requirements for research with human beings will be followed and will be assessed by the Research Ethics Committee.
