NURSING CARE ARISING FROM THE INSERTION OF SPECIALISTS IN THE LABOR MARKET
Work. Labor market. Specialization. Continuing education. Nursing. Health management.
The labor market has requirements given the social, political, economic, and technological demands experienced. These requirements also prevail in the health field, which increasingly calls for training and continuous professional development. Thus, the nursing education program prepares the nurse for a specific area of knowledge. Therefore, it stimulates updates, sharing knowledge, and improvements in the nursing practice towards the patient, the family, and the community. The objective is to identify the perception of nursing team managers about the quality of nursing care in university hospitals arising from the insertion of specialist nurses. This is a descriptive-exploratory research with a qualitative approach. For data collection, interviews were conducted with representatives of the nursing division to gain knowledge of the management's perception of the nursing care provided by specialist nurses and their insertion in the labor market. The interview was conducted through the Google Meet platform and analyzed following the Content Analysis. This project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte CAAE: 50938721.5.0000.5537, protocol number: 5.004.512. The managers interviewed reported the importance of postgraduate studies as a strengthening and expansion of knowledge acquired during graduation, triggering consequences, in addition to the quality of care, such as financial impacts and positive visibility for the hospital institution. Thus, the study reinforces that professionals with higher levels of qualification can provide improvements in the care provided in the most different specialties in the hospital setting, favoring the improvement of health indicators.
