SUMMARY:

Faced with the changes brought about by demographic and epidemiological transitions and the consequent increase in chronic non-communicable in the world, self-care has proven to be an excellent practice in raising the quality of life in active patients involved in managing their conditions and able to develop self-management skills with the help of health professionals. In this perspective, technologies can act in the processes of promotion, prevention, recovery and rehabilitation of these diseases. Aim: To develop a health application for self-care management of people with chronic non-communicable diseases and support the promotion of the expert patient in primary health care. Method: This is a methodological study with a quali-quanti approach to be carried out in three stages: literature review, focus group and technology construction. In the first stage, a Scoping Review will be carried out in order to investigate the contributions of health technologies in the self-care of people with Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases; in the second stage, two focus groups will be carried out with users and nursing professionals from a Basic Health Unit (UBS) or Family Health Unit (USF) and will address "The conceptions and typification of self-care for patients with CNCD", as well as, “The application as a technological tool for healthcare for patients with chronic diseases”, respectively; finally, and based on the information collected in the previous steps, the application will be built in partnership with the Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health (LAIS) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The study will take place according to criteria established by Resolution No. 466/12 of the National Health Council (CNS).
