SUMMARY:

Every day the nurse is faced with human responses regarding health problems, vulnerabilities and improved health disposition that he needs to diagnose. By correctly inferring a nursing diagnosis for a patient, family or community, the nurse universalizes the communication between the other professionals in order to contribute to the achievement of health goals. However, doubtful and inconsistent diagnoses interfere with the continuity of care due to the low level of precision regarding its accuracy. The process of refining and strengthening taxonomies, especially in nursing diagnoses, has been continuously worked on while new scientific research is being developed. This study aims to differentially validate the nursing diagnoses Readiness for enhanced health literacy and Readiness for enhanced knowledge. It is a methodological study of differential validity according to the reference of Lopes, Silva and Araújo, composed of three stages, namely: Simultaneous analysis of concepts, Review of conceptual matrices by judges and Clinical analysis from a susceptible population. In the Simultaneous Analysis of the concepts, nine steps will be followed to be developed to elucidate two or more diagnostic concepts related to a phenomenon in question. An individual should be listed for each nursing diagnosis to be differentiated. After differentiation by means of a consensus group, the Review of conceptual matrices by judges shall be made up of expert nurses in order to verify the adequacy of clinical indicators as well as their definitions for further follow-up on clinical data collection. For this, this population should be selected by analyzing the existing curriculum on the Lattes Platform according to criteria: nurses with a minimum master's degree and with scientific publications that relate to the theme. In the stage of clinical analysis from a susceptible population, the ability to differentiate the diagnostic concepts in a population that can be exposed to these diagnoses must be measured, in this case, patients with Diabetes Mellitus selected by established inclusion and exclusion criteria and attached to Health Units in the Municipality of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The data must be organized and stored in the SPSS, version 22.0 for testing and in the statistical package R. For descriptive analysis, the measures of absolute frequency, percentage, central tendency and dispersion will be considered. The multiple correspondence analysis method will be applied to identify the dimensions that each diagnostic concept should represent. The hierarchical cluster analysis should take place to identify whether the groupings carried out in the multiple correspondence analysis stage can be considered valid. To identify the ability to differentiate clinical indicators for a set of diagnoses, latent class analysis will be performed for each set that represents a dimension. The project follows the ethical principles that govern scientific research and must be referred to the ethics committee for obtaining a favorable opinion.
