SUMMARY:

Health professionals must be important agents of educational actions in health and these are of great importance in the lives of patients, particularly in relation to care with the ostomy, where the professional must guide for self-care and also help in the prevention of complications. In this context, Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) have been providing significant impacts on the traditional educational paradigm and the use of technology has allowed the creation of virtual environments and patients, in addition to simulating practices to help them develop skills and acquire knowledge in the field. be careful with the stoma. Thus, the present study aims to build and validate an educational course in the form of distance learning to train academics and health professionals in the care of people with intestinal ostomy. This is a methodological, quantitative study, using Pasquali's psychometric theory as a theoretical framework. It will be divided into 2 stages related to the construction of the educational course and validation by expert judges in the area. The first stage will be the construction of the course based on literature review and scope and with a pedagogical contribution to the concepts of Ausubel's Meaningful Learning theory. The second step will consist of validating the content, appearance and suitability of the material by expert judges, as well as validating its organization, appearance and motivation of the course. The data analysis will be related to the validation of the course by the judges using descriptive and inferential statistics, using the Microsoft-Excel and SPSS 20.0 programs, using the Kappa index (K) to measure the level of agreement and consistency of the judges in regarding the permanence or not of the instrument items, taking into account the indications of “inadequate” or “adequate” for them and Content Validity Index (CVI), considering acceptable K ≥0.65 and CVI> 0.75, respectively. The level of statistical significance will be established for the value of p <0.05. In the analysis of the data judged by the judges, items with a minimum level of agreement of 75% for positive responses will be considered validated. Items with an agreement level of less than 75% will be changed or eliminated. After the suggestions made by the judges, the educational course will be adapted, incorporating the suggestions, in order to meet the needs and expectations to which it is proposed. The course will be of great use in the hands of academics and health professionals to use as a care tool in the guidance given to patients with intestinal ostomy. The public will be able to access it through the internet through the AVA if they wish to understand the care that will be needed to help the new condition of life of patients with intestinal ostomy.
