This is a methodological study with the objective of elaborating and validating the content of a nursing care course for post-kidney transplant recipients, in the distance learning modality (EAD), aimed at academics and nursing professionals. The research will be conducted by Pasquali's psychometric framework. The methodological steps for the construction of the proposal will be: survey of learning needs, definition of educational objectives and existing restrictions; preparation and validation of instruments for pre and post-test; construction, content validation and appearance of the distance education course; assessment of learning, skills and satisfaction of professionals before, immediately after and one year after being submitted to the teaching strategy. In the data collection, a survey of the content needs will be carried out through a Scoping Review and application of questionnaires to specialists via Google Forms and Delphi stages with expert judges in the area of Nephrology, who will be selected to compose the stage of validation of the content of didactic material. The collected data will be inserted in a Microsoft Office Excel 2013 spreadsheet and the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The relevance of the items that will compose the instrument for the evaluation of the judges will be obtained by the intraobserver and interobserver agreement through the Kappa Index (K) and the Content Validity Index (IVC). Items with a minimum agreement of 80% among experts will be considered valid. This research is expected to build and validate the content of a virtual learning environment for teaching nursing care to post-kidney transplant patients, aimed at academics and nursing professionals. In addition, it is hoped that the educational proposal will stimulate the educational praxis in nurses' health (action-reflection-action) throughout the entire network of health care in Nephrology. The study is approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under opinion no. 4,066,056 and Certificate of Presentation of Ethical Appreciation (CAAE) No. 32033020.4.0000.5537.
