SUMMARY:

Mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones have become popular for their diverse benefits: they are small, portable, break the limitation of mobility and provide portability to its users. An essential component of these devices is access to software, known as applications, which provide access to information 24 hours a day. These resources are essential in the health care of the population, especially those who need information and specialized care, such as people with stomas, who experience important changes after the stoma-making surgery, which requires supportive support to achieve self-care. and adaptation in the face of these changes. The aim of this study is to build a prototype application on a mobile multimedia platform as a tool in the development of self-care and adaptation for people with stomas. This is a methodological study in the technological production modality, divided into two stages: a scoping review in order to map interventions related to self-care and adaptation of the person with a stoma and the development of the multimedia prototype application on a mobile platform. The scoping review will follow the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes and will be carried out in databases, libraries and gray literature to survey the information that will base the content of the prototype application. The data extracted from the studies will be analyzed using descriptive statistics with absolute and relative frequencies and presented descriptively, in the form of tables and charts. The development stage of the prototype application will use the prototyping model, developed in three phases: definition of objectives; definition of functionality and application development. The prototype of this study will develop a mobile system in order to identify self-care and adaptation characteristics of people with ostomy, completed by the user and from this information generate guidance data, in the form of graphical interfaces. The results of this study will be presented through images of the application's screens and a description of its functionality and handling.
